8 pitted Medjool dates
¼ c, raw honey or coconut nectar
1 c, melted coconut oil
¼ c, Almond Butter
1 tsp, vanilla powder
1 tsp, pink salt


Soak the dates in just enough warm water to cover until the dates are very soft, at least 20 minutes and up to overnight. Drain the dates, reserving the soaking liquid. Combine the dates, honey, oil, almond butter, and vanilla in a blender. Puree on high until completely smooth, adding some of the reserved soaking liquid if too thick. Transfer the sauce to a storage container, using a rubber spatula to scrape down the sides, and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Just before serving, fold in the salt.
