I have had mild issues with my liver and inflammation for years so I purchased Schisandra and thought perhaps it would alleviate some of my ails. I placed it in my cupboard for a few months until one day I experienced unexplained swelling in my knee that caused daily discomfort. (That actually may have been the result of a contraindication from a medication my ob/gyn prescribed to shrink an ovarian cyst.)Then I remembered that I had purchased Schisandra and began taking it daily. Little by little the discomfort and swelling dissipated. I plan to resume running soon now that my knee is feeling better. I purchased my second bottle of Schisandra for I find it to be a staple item.
